New ⎤⎤⎤ EP on Superpang

⎤⎤⎤ is an experimental noise project formed by Chantal Michelle and Grace Villamil. Working across performance and installation, they examine processes of sound obliteration through synthesis, electronics, found sounds, and vocalization. Distortion is stripped revealing uninhabited, organic, and intuitive patterns. Through the conscious layering of complex textures, they seek to guide the listener into a state of catharsis — one that functions as both antidote and mirror to society. Their work has been presented at Fridman Gallery and Opus 40, released on Superpang and Notice Recordings, and includes collaborations with Patrick Shiroishi and Tony Buck.

Chantal Michelle A Vulnerable Landscape

2026 Overtoon Artist-in-Residence (March-April)

A Vulnerable Landscape, an ongoing inquiry into the acoustic and psychoacoustic properties of glass, is an installation work by Chantal Michelle. During her residency at Overtoon, she will continue her work on the spatial potentials of the hand-blown glass instruments that she has been developing, examining their harmonic structures, resonances, and sensitivities to human and environmental stimuli. During the residency, she will extend this research through new recordings, analyses, and spatial compositions that explore how sound interacts with architecture and perception, with particular attention to developing configurations for installation that respond to the listener’s position within the space.
